Flatec and Duetec glass connectors: General differences
Flatec connectors
The flat connectors made of fine ground stainless steel of the series Flatec are available as standard as 180º and 90º connectors for connecting two panes of glass and as T-angles for connecting four panes of glass. Furthermore, you can also use the Flatec glass connector as a corner connector for the installation situation glass-wall and also for fastening to the floor. Due to the flat profile of the stainless steel connectors, the fitting does not appear too robust, but sets discreet accents in your project. You attach the flat profile to the glass panes using flush-fitting decorative caps, which you can adjust using four tightening holes. This gives you an adjustment leeway of approx. 2 mm.
Duetec connector
The Duetec system is a design-oriented connecting fitting with a two-bar look. You can use the two-bar connectors for fixing glass partitions as well as for installing cash register systems and in the parapet area. As the range is much more extensive compared to the Flatec connectors, you have more application options.
- The principle: Two cylindrical clamping elements - point holders - are connected horizontally with two parallel cross bars in a force-locking manner. This allows you easy adjustment and assembly. The corresponding angle connectors with 90º, 120º, 135º and 150º are achieved by bending the cross bars.
- Diameter and decorative screws: Due to the different uses of the stainless steel connectors, there are also different diameters of the decorative caps of 22 mm, 30 mm, 38 mm and 55 mm. Due to the different variants of the decorative caps, many design options are available to you.
Glass connectors for point-fixed glazing
Our glass connectors are a sophisticated system for fixed glazing and are used to connect a glass pane to a second glass pane as well as to the floor or wall. The connecting fittings are always preferred when the glass partitions are to be installed without frames. This glass connection solution is also a very attractive alternative to glass connection with silicone.

Where do I use balustrade elements?
Point supports for all-glass balustrades are often used for partition systems made of glass, in the banking sector or also on balcony and stair railings. For the various applications we produce both Balustrade elementswhich you can attach to columns for a round connection with ø 40-42 mm and 50 mm, as well as balustrade elements for a flat connection. In order to give you many design options here as well, we have single-sided and double-sided elements in our range, for which you can choose between different decorative screws depending on the glass thickness.
What do I have to consider when selecting and planning the glass connectors?
- All products that we produce as standard can be found in our online shop. Depending on the number of pieces, we also produce special angles and special distances. Please send us an e-mail with a drawing to shop@abp-beyerle.de.
- Unless otherwise stated, all angle connectors are shown as internal angles. Please also note the respective glass thickness for which you can use the respective angle connector
- If different glass thicknesses are to be processed, e.g. with a T-connector, please note both glass thicknesses on the order
- For cash register systems in the banking sector, the GVS with anti-theft decorative screws must be used with the Duetec series.
