Sliding doors are attractive for many reasons: Traditional doors are hinged and take up space when opening and closing. Sliding doors, on the other hand, do not occupy any floor space because they function by sliding from side to side. Installation is simpler and cheaper as no structural measures are required. Because the door fittings are visible and part of the design itself, sliding doors are easily accessible for maintenance or adjustments. They are the perfect solution to create partially or fully private spaces without occupying floor space as they do not swing to open and close. Sliding glass doors also allow natural light to flow through the living space.
