Door stops - practical and indispensable
We offer a wide range of door stops to prevent your door from being damaged unnecessarily when it is pushed open too hard. On the one hand, a door stop prevents the door handle from being damaged and hitting the wall, and on the other hand, it prevents objects and furniture behind the door from being scratched or dented. We have black door stops, which are trendy, as well as classic, modern door stops in fine ground stainless steel and polished stainless steel.
What kind of door stops are there?
You can attach door stops to the wall as well as to the floor. Depending on how far you can open your door and which type of door stop you prefer, choose between a wall door stop or a floor door stop.
Floor door stops
Floor door stops can be easily screwed into the floor at any point in the door radius behind the door. This makes it easy to prevent objects and furniture behind the door from being damaged when the door is pushed open. All our door stops are equipped with rubber buffers that cushion the swing of the door and thus protect the door and also the door stop itself if the door is banged open violently. We recommend fitting the floor door stop so that the door can still be opened at least 90º.
Wall door stops
Wall door stops are firmly screwed to the wall at any height. If you want to avoid drilling holes in the floor, we recommend a door stop on the wall. It is up to you at which height you mount the door stop. This can be above the floor moulding or almost at the ceiling. All wall door stops are fitted with rubber to prevent damage to both the door and the door stop itself.
What types of mounting are available?
Depending on the model, we offer various ways of mounting our door stops on the wall or on the floor:
Fastening with a hanger bolt
Fastening directly to the wall using a hanger bolt with dowel. As an accessory for items with ø 22 mm, the TS95 washer can also be used for more stable mounting on non-solid surfaces.
Anti-theft fastening
In this case, an adapter is screwed onto the wall with a universal screw and dowel. The door stop is then placed on the adapter, aligned and locked in place with a grub screw. As an accessory for items with ø 22 mm, the TS95 washer can also be used for more stable mounting on non-solid surfaces.
Mounting plate
Fastening with mounting plate and decor cover. This type is suitable for particularly stable fixing on non-solid surfaces. The mounting plate is screwed in the centre with the stopper or hook and fixed to the wall with 2 universal screws. The decorative cover is then screwed onto the mounting plate.
Which door stop is suitable for which door?
The heavier the door, the more weight the door stop must be able to absorb. It should be noted that glass doors are heavier than wooden doors and less stable. Therefore, make sure that you use a door stop for glass doors that is equipped with a rubber buffer or rubber ring.
